Job Title: Teleprompting Operator Location: Cape Town (with travel) Employment Type: Contract / Full-time Industry: Broadcasting | TV | Live Events | Streaming | Production Services We are looking for reliable, detail-oriented Operator to join our team on TV productions, live events, corporate shoots, and live-streamed broadcast events across South Africa & beyond. This role suits individuals who are calm under pressure, technically minded, and comfortable working in live broadcast environments and has a sharp attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Operate broadcast equipment in studio and on-location productions Teleprompting operation for TV, corporate, live events, and online productions (training will be provided) Assist with setup, testing, and breakdown of broadcast equipment Work closely with producers, directors, presenters, and technical crew Follow live broadcast cues accurately and professionally Maintain equipment care and basic fault finding and reporting Ensure high broadcast and presentation standards at all times Requirements Excellent skills on MS Word / Excell and Apple / MacBook Laptop Strong English & Afrikaans / Bilingual plus additional African / other languages adventagous Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely Comfortable working under time pressure during live broadcasts Good communication and teamwork skills Professional, client-facing attitude Willingness to work flexible hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends) Valid South African driver’s licence with own vehicle ESSENTIAL Advantageous Skills Teleprompting experience (training will be provided) Knowledge on Camera operation or assisting Live streaming platforms (Zoom, Teams, OBS, vMix, etc.) Basic audio or lighting knowledge General Studio or OB experience Experience in broadcasting, TV/Film productions and live events What We Offer Opportunities to work on high-profile broadcasts, live events, and corporate productions Supportive, professional production environment Growth and upskilling opportunities within the broadcast industry Competitive industry related rates To apply: Please send your detailed CV and a summary of your experience to admin@monelii.com with the subject line: Teleprompt Operator Application
