Job Description
We’re looking for a creative, multi-talented developer with a strong eye for visual style and a deep love for rhythm games—especially Friday Night Funkin’ ( FNF ). This role blends graphic design, music integration, and rhythm gameplay development to help create engaging mods or original rhythm game content with strong personality, polish, and flow.

Responsibilities
Visual & Graphic Design
Design and illustrate characters, backgrounds, UI elements, and animations in an FNF-inspired style
Create sprite sheets and visual assets optimized for rhythm gameplay
Maintain a cohesive visual identity across songs, menus, and scenes
Rhythm Game Development
Implement charts/beat maps synced accurately to music
Design gameplay mechanics, difficulty curves, and special note patterns
Work with existing FNF engines or custom rhythm frameworks
Music & Audio Integration
Collaborate on music selection or composition
Sync animations and gameplay events precisely to beats and vocals
Assist with sound effects, timing feedback, and audio polish
Collaboration & Iteration
Work closely with programmers, musicians, and other artists
Take feedback and iterate quickly on visuals, charts, and gameplay feel
Help troubleshoot gameplay or timing issues
Required Skills
Strong graphic design and illustration skills (2D art, sprites, UI)
Solid understanding of rhythm game mechanics and timing
Familiarity with Friday Night Funkin’, its engines, or similar rhythm games
Experience with tools such as Adobe Suite, Aseprite, or similar
Basic understanding of game development workflows
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience modding FNF or developing rhythm games
Animation experience (frame-by-frame or skeletal)
Music production or beat mapping experience
Knowledge of HaxeFlixel, Lua scripting, or similar technologies
